Kids Birthday Party Tips Save money and time with good planning as your kids can have fun without a huge expense!
* Always invite the number of kids that you feel will be manageable for your situation and also according to your budget. Going the other way, if a certain number of invitees are desired, this could be a guide as to your choice of venue and if it is DIY or not.
* If you're having an indoor party with limited space, cull the numbers of kids compared to if your party were outside with lots of room to run and play.
* It also depends on how many adults will be there to help you with the party food and games. Obviously, the more hands on deck, the larger your group of kids could be.
INVITATIONS

* Birthday invitations should go out ideally about 2-3 weeks before the party. Make sure you have enough time to make them , order them, complete them and still get them out with 2-3 weeks notice.
* Make sure to include any special instructions on the invitation (ex: bring a towel, bring your pyjamas and pillow, come dressed as your favorite super hero (let them know the theme), let them know if it's a surprise, also let them know if you want no gifts (party pooper!)
* Give a clear RSVP date in BOLD (many parents are very busy and may forget this part but you need to get a definite number for planning food, games, prizes and lolly bags etc.) Make sure you give your best phone number(s) and both parents' names.
* For kid's parties, if you'd like the parents to stay with their child for the party be sure to make a note of that on the invitation near the time of arrival and finish time. Parents need to know what is expected of them as well.
