HoneyContains - Honey is an incredible antibacterial and is comprised of sugars (glucose and fructose) and minerals ( magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chloride, iron, sulphur, and phosphate), vitamins (such as B1, B2, C, B6, B5, B3), trace elements (like copper, iodine, and zinc) as well as amino acids.(pure honey, not the supermarket variety with sugar added!)

(dont mix it up with Origanum Marjoram, common garden oregano used in cooking).When buying, look for carvacrol concentration of at least 70%.

Applications - Used orally to remedy digestive problems. (in Brazil, the mothers make a weak juice for children with stomach upsets as it is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.) Papain is also popular as a natural herbal remedy(in countries where it grows), used as a topical application in the treatment of cuts, rashes, stings and burns. Papain ointment is commonly made from fermented papaya flesh, and is applied as a gel-like paste. (Very good for cracked nipples in the early phase of breast-feeding).
Cautions - Caution should be taken when harvesting, as papaya is known to release a latex fluid when not quite ripe, which can cause irritation and provoke allergic reaction in some people. The papaya fruit, seeds, latex, and leaves also contains carpaine, an anthelmintic alkaloid (a drug that removes parasitic worms from the body) which can be dangerous in high doses. It is speculated that unripe papayas may cause miscarriage due to its latex content that may cause uterine contractions which may lead to a miscarriage, though this has never been proven. Papaya seed extracts in large doses showed to have a contraceptive effect on rats and monkeys, but in small doses were shown to have no effect on the unborn animals.

Applications - General Disinfectant- 10 drops in bath water, soak in it for 30 minutes. (also known to relax muscles after strenuous sport) Acne- Dab on directly and leave overnight. Genital warts - gently dab onto warts daily for 10 days (stings a little) A a mouth rinse it is a natural herbal remedy for bad breath, sore gums, laryngitis - A cup of warm water with 3 drops of Tea Tree Oil . * Use the solution as a mouthwash two to three times daily. * Always spit out the Tea Tree Oil mouthwash. Cautions - Although limitless anecdotal evidence supports the anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects of tea tree oil, there have not been enough scientific studies done to prove or refute these historical observations.
