Garlic

Contains - Allium sativa (Onion Family)Garlic contains a large number of unique sulfur-containing compounds, credited with many of it's medicinal actions as a natural home remedy. Allicin produces other sulfur compounds: ajoene, allyl sulfides, and vinyldithiins. These sulfur compounds are potent antimicrobials and are thought to be the source of garlic's lipid-reducing and cancer-preventing effects.

Applications - * lowers cholesterol levels and blood sugar

* may also reduce risk of blood clots and tumors.

* useful in treating atherosclerosis, and high cholesterol.

* antibacterial and antimicrobial properties ( useful as a natural home remedy in treating bladder and kidney infections, yeast infections, strep throats and ear infections.)

* Lowers blood sugar levels in people with diabetes

Cautions - If you're not sure, use garlic cautiously at first to determine how well you tolerate it(in some people large amounts can cause stomach upset.)Breast-feeding mothers may too much garlic in their diet flavors breast milk, causing some infants to reject it. Other babies develop a stronger sucking reflex in response to this.

Some individuals feel nauseated and hot. Others don't digest sulfur compounds well, and gas and bloating result. Garlic used topically, such as in eardrops for ear infections, can irritate skin and membranes in sensitive people.

Ginkgo Biloba

Contains -Ginkgo leaves containtwo types of chemicals, flavonoids and terpenoids, which are consideredto be potent antioxidants.

Applications - * Dementia * Alzheimers * Retinal problems * Tinnitus * Cardiovascular disease * High blood pressure* Reducing stress and anxiety * Increasing mental clarity and alertness * Stimulating the immune and nervous system * Treating diabetes * Preventing the growth of certain types of cancer cells * Lowering cholesterol levels * Improving digestion * Reducing fatigue * Improving athletic enduranceSome studies have also shown that Ginseng may enhance penile erection, and increase testosterone levels and also sperm production.- 100-200mg capsule of Ginseng in the morning three times a week for enhanced mental performance- Take one capsule of Ginseng or a cup of Ginseng tea once every second day for lowering of cholesterol.- one capsule of Ginseng or a cup of Ginseng tea three times a week for relief of mood swings, fatigue, even PMS.

Cautions - Pregnant women should not take Ginkgo Biloba, and it is not recommended for children under the age of 12. It is also not recommended if you are currently taking Warfarin, Aspirin, or any other blood thinning treatment or anti-depressant medication .

Ginseng

Contains - Ginseng root is a nutritious herb (helps the brain produce more endorphins ), contains ginsenosides, chemical compounds believed to have potent properties to prevent cancer.

Applications - Taking 100-400mg of Ginseng per day for 2-3 weeks and then resuming its after a one week break is considered safe as a natural heme remedy. However, it is always advisable to follow the dosage instruction on your particular package and consult your physician if you are pregnant or on other medications.

Cautions - (prolonged use of Ginseng can cause insomnia and hypertension)
